Mrs. Maisel Has Returned!

I’m one of countless fans of Amy Sherman-Palladino’s first season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel—the powerhouse production that collected two Golden Globes and five Emmys. I can hardly wait for my daughter (and binge partner) to be home for the holidays, so that we can settle in for the newly released Season Two on Netflix.

Season One dazzled viewers with its oh-so-clever dialogue, pace, 1950s sets and wardrobes. Based on a recent Esquire article, Season Two doesn’t disappoint as it follows actress Rachel Brosnahan’s character, aspiring comedian Midge, and her manager Susie, played by Alex Borstein, and a superb ensemble as they navigate opening new doors that shape their work and personal lives.

Holiday Music to My Ears

Beyond the festive gatherings and corresponding with family and friends, the tradition of listening to holiday music is a favorite of mine. Access the diverse Smithsonian Folkways collection for 30-second samples of 56 holiday songs sourced from 24 nations on their site’s interactive map. Create a mindful moment for yourself by exploring the unique holiday sounds from other parts of the globe.
